Shift Activity Log

The Shift Activity Log is where you can see all actions taken by workers and your Fountain users, including clock-ins and outs, manually created timesheets, edits to timesheets, timesheet exports, and more.


Basic Navigation

To access the Activity Log, click Shift in the left side panel. Next, click the arrow to expand and expose the Shift subcategories. Then click Settings. Once on the Settings page, click Activity Log in the top right corner. You can also access the Activity Log on the Schedule page in the top right corner.

Use the All time button to adjust the timeframe of data in the table. You can select a custom timeframe, the last 7 days, or the last 30 days. The table will default to show the last 30 days.

Use the All actions button to show specific action types in the data table. Simply check or uncheck boxes to include or exclude data.

Click Export CSV to export the data table into a CSV format.

Below the top buttons, you’ll see three tabs:

  • All: Shows all actions that have been taken based on the views selected.

  • Schedule: Shows schedule-related actions based on the views selected.

  • Timesheets: Shows timesheet-related actions based on the views selected.

You can also use the Managers & Workers dropdown to change the table to show only manager, only worker, or both manager and worker actions. The person who performed the action will be represented in the “Actor type” column in the Activity Log table.

Finally, use the filter button to filter for specific data such as worker names, shift job, location, date, and more!

To undo some action in the table, click the 3 dots button to the right of the action and then Undo action. The undo action option is only available if the selected log entry is the most recent action on the shift. Additionally, undo action applies to the following activity log actions: Create, Update, and Publish. A rules engine will run after the request is submitted. You will either receive a confirmation message or a blocker message informing you that the undo was prevented.

Important Note:
You must have the correct permissions in Fountain to use undo action. Contact your account administrators if you do not have access and need access.
