Managing Shifts via the Worker Profile

Updated over a week ago

Some Fountain Shift information can be reviewed and managed via the Worker’s Profile in Fountain.

To access the Worker Profile, click Worker Profiles in the bottom left side panel and then find the worker by scrolling or searching. Click their name to open their Worker Profile.

On the right, you’ll see a number of tabs based on the Fountain products your company is using. The Rates and Schedule tabs are connected to Fountain Shift.

Important Note:

The worker may have multiple Worker Profiles. Check the Jobs and Locations columns to ensure you are opening the correct profile.

Rates Tab

The Rates tab will show you the rate that the worker is paid for specific jobs and locations. This tab will also show an overtime rate if applicable. Any exceptions for the pay rate will also be listed.

Click the pencil icon to the right of a job block to edit the default rate or default overtime rate. First, toggle off the “use worker’s default pay rate” toggle, which will unlock the rate fields so they are editable.

You can also add location exceptions in this screen by clicking +Add exception. For example, you have a warehouse, Warehouse A, which = is located in a rural, hard-to-reach location, versus Warehouse B, which is very accessible. You want to incentivize workers to work at Warehouse A, so you offer a higher pay rate for those shifts.

Click Submit after making changes. To learn about configuring default pay rates and overtime rates, review the Shift Settings article.

Schedule Tab

The Schedule tab will show you this specific worker’s Shift history, including previous and scheduled shifts, previous attendance violations, their reliability score, how many hours they have scheduled, and how much overtime they have scheduled in minutes for future shifts and previously worked past shifts.

To look at shifts from a specific time period, click the All time button and select from past, future, current, or all time.

To look at shifts from a specific location, click All locations and choose a location from the dropdown. You can also filter for specific shifts by using the Filters button. You can filter by Job or Date.

Within the shift table, you’ll see the date and time of the shift, the job, the location, the status (either no show, completed, scheduled, or not available), and the date. Click on a column header to organize by that column.
