The Attendance Dashboard is a central location for your managers to review attendance violations based on your company’s attendance policy that was preconfigured in Shift settings. These violations can be related to early or late clock-ins, early or late breaks, short or long breaks, or no shows, depending on your company’s policy. Attendance violations must be actioned on the Timesheets Table in the Needs Attention tab. Learn more about the Timesheets Table process in this article.
Basic Navigation
To access the Attendance Dashboard, click Shift in the left side panel. Then click the arrow icon to expand the side panel and expose Shift’s subcategories. Next, click Dashboard and, finally, the Attendance Dashboard link at the bottom of the list in the tile on the right.
At the top of the Attendance Dashboard, you can change the date view to a custom time period, or Fountain’s preconfigured options such as this week, the last 30 days, or all time. You can also select specific locations or location groups.
Next, you’ll see a set of informative tiles. Information in these tiles is tied to the date and location view selected at the top of the table:
Workers at risk: Shows the number of workers who have been identified as being at risk of continuing employment based on preconfigured settings by your account administrators. Click Review workers to see details and next steps. You’ll learn more about this tile in the next section of this article.
Violations per location: Shows a bar graph of the top five locations with the highest number of worker violations. Click View all to open a pop-up with a list of all locations with violations.
Time Violations: Shows the percentage of violations that are time-related.
Break Violations: Shows the percentage of violations that are break-related.
Reliability Score: Shows the reliability score of workers in the selected location for the selected time range.
No Show Rate: Shows the percentage of violations that are no-shows.
Below the tiles, you’ll see a list of worker violations. You can search for a specific worker or apply filters to the table.
The table will include the worker’s name, the number of violations, a note icon if the worker has left a note related to the violation, the type of violation, the shift date, time, and location, as well as the job they were working when the violation took place.
Click the 3 dots button to the right of a worker’s name to open the Edit Timesheet pop-up or contact the worker via email or SMS. Learn more about the Edit Timesheet pop-up in this article.
Workers at Risk
In the Workers at Risk tile, click the Review workers link to be brought to another table with a list of workers that need attention.
Change the location or location group in the top right corner. You can also navigate back to the dashboard at the top of the table.
Here you’ll see seven columns: worker name, worker status, number of violations, reliability score of the specific worker, how many timesheets have been evaluated, the number of unqualified timesheets, and the risk status of the worker.
The risk status color and title are preconfigured by administrators on the account in Shift settings. This status should give you guidance on the action you should take based on the severity of the violations received, which is determined by your company’s policy.
For example, the status may say “manager call” indicating you should call the employee to discuss, or it may say “suspension” or “termination”, indicating that you should suspend or terminate the employee.
Click the 3 dots button to the right of a worker’s name to contact the worker via email or SMS or review their Worker Profile.
Important Note:
If you have questions on the statuses and the action you should take, contact your company leadership before taking action.
