Pool Glossary

Review the table below for common terms related to Fountain Pool:

Term

Definition

Talent

Contact records that are stored in Pool. Individual talent records are referred to as Talent Profiles or contacts. Talent records are an aggregate of the applicant records, worker records, and/or prospect records that are found with matching email addresses.

Talent Profile

The aggregate of relevant information about a given talent record, including contact information, links to Hire Applicant Profiles, and their Worker Profile if applicable. Access an individual’s Talent Profile by clicking on a talent contact’s name.

Match Score

An intelligent scoring system that ranks how well a given person, via their Talent Profile, matches a specific job’s criteria, based on the alignment of the person’s skills, availability, location, and the job requirements. Fountain uses ONET to find skills related to the talent.

Fountain’s AI cross-references the talent's information with O*NET, or the Occupational Information Network, a comprehensive database that provides detailed information about the world of work. It's the U.S. Department of Labor's primary source of occupational information, offering insights into various jobs, including skills based on roles. Pool uses these relevant skills to match talent against your jobs, which also generates a set of required skills via O*NET comparison.

Audience

A saved set of Talent Profiles matching preconfigured filter criteria, such as with a match score percentage of a specific job, located in a specific city, or with applied previously after a specific date. Audiences are dynamic, meaning that as new Talent Profiles are added that match the inclusion criteria, they’ll be included in the audience, or as Talent Profiles cease to meet that audience’s criteria (they get hired, opt out of messaging, etc.), they’ll be removed from the audience.

Campaign

A single or set of multi-touch outreach messages delivered to an audience at a defined cadence, by either Email or SMS. Campaigns can be used to invite talent to apply for a new job Opening, to invite them to an upcoming event, to send engaging “nurture” messages over time, or for any other communication or outreach purpose.
