Manually Review Compliance Documents

Easily review all worker-submitted compliance documents in one place

Updated over 2 months ago

Overview

After your workers submit documents for review, these can be auto-approved if enabled. If auto approval is not enabled, or a document is submitted that does not meet the auto-approval confidence threshold, then they will need to be manually reviewed by you.

Luckily, the Compliance product makes this easy for you!

Review & act on pending documents

To start, view the Compliance Group table to quickly see which of them have workers with documents needing review. Go to:

  1. The Compliance activity (in the sidebar)

  2. View the Pending Review column to see which groups have documents needing review

  3. Click on the name of the compliance group with a pending document

At the top of the screen, you'll see how many workers in this group fall into each compliance status, including those with documents pending review. Click on the Review all button to open an activity where you can review all of these documents.

In this review activity, you'll see all of the information that you need in order to process the document:

  • Additional details regarding why the document was flagged for manual review - specifically, which of these criteria the document met or did not meet:

    • If the document was blurry or had any glare on it

    • If it passed all approval conditions that were set up in the check

    • If the worker manually entered or edited any information

    • If the Fountain AI confidence level was at or above the specified threshold level

    • If the document type and/or worker name matches expected values

  • An image of the file that the worker upload

  • All information that was extracted from the document or manually entered by the employee

After reviewing the information given, there are three actions you can take:

  1. Approve the document if it meets all requirements to mark it as being In Compliance

  2. Reject and ask for recollection if there are any issues

    1. This option will email the worker, and reactivate the task to upload this check in their portal

  3. Make changes and save without approving

    1. This can be helpful if you need to make updates to the entered information, but don't want to approve the document just yet
