Overview

If you find yourself needing to edit an onboarding flow after it's been published, the onboarding platform allows you to edit all flow settings except for tasks. That's due to the fact that workers have likely already seen, and possibly started on, those tasks.

In case you need to modify the tasks in a flow after it's been published, we recommend duplicating the flow. This duplicate flow can then be fully edited before being published.

Steps

To do so:

  1. Go to the Onboard homepage to view your list of flows, and find the flow that you would like to modify

  2. Click the more actions button (three dots) for that flow, and click Duplicate from the actions list

  3. A duplicate version of this flow will be auto-created and added to the list of flows for you

  4. For that duplicate flow, click on the more actions button and click Edit

  5. Make the necessary updates to the flow, including changes to tasks, and then publish the flow

After publishing this duplicate version of the flow, we also suggest archiving the original flow, to avoid duplicate tasks for workers. To do so, click the more actions button for the original flow > select Archive from the list of actions.
