You may have workers automatically move into Fountain from your Hire application (if using Fountain Hire), but there may be times when you need to manually add workers to the Fountain system, either by CSV file import or by adding individual workers.
Import Workers via CSV File
If you need to add multiple workers at once, Fountain recommends using the import via CSV file option, which will save you valuable time. Follow the steps below:
Click Workers in the left side panel.
Click Add Worker in the top right corner, and then Import in the dropdown.
Click Download CSV template.
Update the CSV template with your workers’ information. All columns are optional except for the worker’s first name, last name, and email address.
Save your CSV file to your computer.
In the Import pop-up in Fountain, drag and drop or click to upload your created CSV file.
Click Import. If there is an issue with the CSV file, you will be alerted with an error message detailing what issues must be corrected. Successfully imported workers will be found on the Workers screen.
Important Note:
If you plan to import more than 50 workers, Fountain recommends splitting the file into multiple CSVs with 50 workers per upload.
Manually Add Individual Workers
To add one individual worker, follow the steps below:
Click Workers in the left side panel.
Click Add Worker in the top right corner, and then +Add Worker in the dropdown.
Type in the worker’s information in all required fields, which are indicated with a red asterisk.
Click Add. The new worker will be found on the Workers screen.
