Resolving a Conflict

Openings are only allowed to be in one campaign at a time. If your selections conflict with an existing campaign, the application will notify you with an alert and the conflicting job and location combinations will turn red. The Continue will become inactive and the View conflicting campaigns option will appear.

In order to resolve a campaign conflict, you have three options:

  1. Remove conflicting job and location combinations from the new campaign.

  2. Edit the conflicting published campaign to remove a job and/or position.

  3. Archive the published campaign.

Here’s how to remove conflicts from your new campaign:

  1. Click View conflicting campaigns.

  2. Observe which position and location combinations are in use.

  3. Remove a job or position that you no longer wish to target.

  4. Click Continue.

  5. If conflicts still exist, the alert will display again.

  6. Click View conflicting campaigns again to see which conflicts remain.

  7. When all conflicts are resolved, the Continue button will let you proceed.

If you’d prefer to edit the existing published campaign instead, follow these steps:

  1. Click View conflicting campaigns.

  2. Click the Edit button next to the conflicting campaign.

  3. A new tab will open to the target page of the conflicting campaign.

  4. Remove a job or location to resolve the conflict.

  5. You must complete all campaign update steps and Launch the campaign on the Final Review page for your edits to take effect.

  6. Once you’ve launched the existing campaign, return to the tab for your new campaign.

  7. Click Re-check for conflicts.

  8. Your opening’s condition should update to Conflict resolved.

  9. Click Back to campaign.

  10. Click Continue to proceed to the next step.

If the conflicting campaign is no longer required, you can easily archive it:

  1. Click View conflicting campaigns.

  2. Click the Archive button next to the conflicting campaign.

  3. Your opening’s condition should update to Successfully archived.

  4. Click Back to campaign.

  5. Click Continue to proceed to the next step.
