I-9 Center: E-Verify Resumes Operations

Updated this week

E-Verify is now fully operational following the recent federal government shutdown. All E-Verify services have resumed, including new case creation, Tentative Non-confirmation (TNC) resolution, and federal contractor access.

What You Need to Know

  • No action is required for Fountain I-9 customers.

  • We have retained all I-9 data created during the outage and have automatically begun resubmitting those cases to E-Verify.

  • Most cases will process normally, though some delays may occur as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) manages the national backlog.

  • Fountain teams are monitoring submissions to ensure successful case processing and will notify customers if any manual action becomes necessary.

Next Steps

No action is needed at this time. Continue using your Fountain I-9 workflows as usual. For the official government update, visit E-Verify.gov.
